Understanding Your Assessment Results
For each assessment, your performance is evaluated against an established standard. The minimum passing scores for each assessment are determined by the State Board of Education and are based, in part, on the professional judgments and recommendations of Ohio educators.
The total assessment score, which is reported on a scale of 100 to 300, is based on the number of multiple-choice questions answered correctly. For assessments that include both multiple-choice questions and constructed-response assignments, scores on the multiple-choice section of the assessment are combined with scores on the constructed-response section to provide an overall assessment score.
